Art Fest

The Castle Rock Art Fest is September 11th and 12th. This is a great opportunity for community service hours and extra credit. Be sure to grab a handout for the critiques and look for Mrs. Slutsky from the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce. She will be in the lunch room signing up volunteers. I will post more as more information is available.

Get out there and see some Art!

Back to school night.

I hope to see a lot of parents come visit the art rooms on the evening of the 19th. We are a busy department and we love to share the creative process with your kids.

Check out the display cases, we already have work being done by our students to show off and a brand new case outside the main office donated by Tamera Culp to display past year's Principal's Purchase Award winners and additions to our permanent art collection at CV.

The September issue of the Simthsonian Magazine as well as Daniel Pink author of "A Whole New Mind" and "Drive" describe the need for creative arts training for success.

Hope to see you soon and often!

Day 1

It was wonderful to meet everyone today. I hope you are starting to try to picture yourself as an artist.

Be ready to work hard this term. Talk to me if anything comes up. I want only for you to be successful!
